A nostalgic identity shaped by warmth and personality
Yvette is a bakery and coffee shop inspired by the founder’s grandmother and the comforting memories associated with her. The objective was to create an identity that felt personal, familiar and full of character, while giving the brand a contemporary and highly recognisable presence. The visual direction celebrates the warmth of traditional neighbourhood bakeries through a playful, modern lens. A handwritten wordmark brings spontaneity and intimacy to the identity, while the illustrated character gives Yvette a friendly face and creates a stronger emotional connection with the audience.

A playful system built around a familiar character
The final identity combines expressive hand-drawn elements with a soft palette of dusty pink, cream and deep chocolate brown. The contrast between the fluid wordmark and the simple line illustration creates a visual language that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. Designed to adapt across packaging, coffee cups, uniforms, signage and storefront applications, the system gives Yvette a warm and consistent presence. Every touchpoint reinforces the same feeling of generosity, familiarity and everyday comfort, turning the bakery into a place that feels instantly welcoming.
